The GWO Basic Technical Training Standard has been developed in response to the demand for basic technical training in the wind industry.
Global Training Provider HTL Group, whom currently serve the industry with a portfolio of Wind Energy tailored courses, saw the GWO BTT Standard as a necessary and fitting addition to the range of courses delivered at their Northumberland training centre of excellence.
Covering 3 modules, the standard consists of Hydraulic, Mechanical and Electrical elements, ensuring that this course is ideally suited to all Wind Turbine Technicians who are involved in the installation, service and maintenance of wind turbine generators and wind power plants.
Bob Fogerty, Group Director of Training comments:
“We’re delighted to now offer delegates the GWO BTT Standard at our Northumberland Training Centre of Excellence. With the option to study each module separately or combine them all together, we aim to cater for all needs of the Wind Sector.
Our Northumberland based training centre is just the beginning of the roll out plan for GWO BTT; in the very near future we foresee this course being rolled out across all of our strategically placed UK Training facilities.”
Developed from risk assessments, factual incidents and accident statistics, the GWO BTT course will enable delegates to be able to perform basic hydraulic, mechanical and electrical tasks under supervision of an experienced technician.
Targeting delegates who have no previous mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience and also those who wish to upskill and have some knowledge of these areas, this course is ideal for Technician’s in the Wind industry.
